My name is Krystyna, though I go by Krys. I am proud to call New Mexico home and spend countless hours exploring its diverse and breathtaking landscapes. Photography allows me to preserve both the grand vistas and the subtle details of each adventure, while sharing the remarkable beauty of New Mexico from the southern deserts to the northern mountains.

My journey into photography began on the trail. As I hiked more frequently, I began to find myself drawn to the intricate details of the outdoors: wildflowers tucked along the path, cascading waterfalls, layered mountain ranges, shifting cloud formations, and the vibrant colors of sunrise and sunset. I began planning hikes specifically around golden hour, seeking to capture the fleeting light that transforms familiar landscapes into something extraordinary. Backpacking further deepened this passion, giving me opportunities to document remote and lesser-known places and to highlight the hidden beauty within our own state.

Astrophotography became a passion rooted in childhood wonder. I vividly remember my father waking me in the early morning hours to see Comet Hale-Bopp streak across the sky, and that moment sparked a lifelong fascination with the night sky. As an adult, I have continued to pursue that awe through photographing New Mexico’s dark skies. From the Milky Way to meteor showers and comets, I strive to capture the stillness and grandeur of the night and to inspire others to step outside and experience it for themselves.

Thank you for visiting my website. I hope these photographs invite you to see New Mexico with fresh eyes and to fall in love with its beauty, just as I did.
